PAAPAM attracts foreigners for Pakistan Auto Show 2019

Chairman PAAPAM skill development institute Mashood Ali Khan said that diplomatic offices are key resource in building trust between countries and to boost bilateral trade. “We need to make things happen, and we have started inviting foreign representatives in our country,” he said.

The scheduled to be held in Karachi in 12-14 April 2019.
The members of PAAPAM met with diplomats of Turkey, the Netherlands, Japan, Indonesia, Russian and France.

The meetings with the diplomats were centrally focused on foreign participation in PAPS 2019, technology upgradation through joint venture and technology collaboration.
It was apprised to the diplomats that machinery makers and consultants can make it big in this market. This will include partners for Domestic Direct Investment (DDI).
The meetings also focused on inviting raw material suppliers for the auto grade in steel, PVC, chemicals and rubber segments.

Mashood Ali Khan, Chairman PAAPAM skill development institute has emphasized on assistance from the embassy in creating liaison with relevant associations & business sectors in the country, so delegates/ representatives can visit the exhibition.
He also confirmed that the association would provide B2B meetings, visits of factories and assurance of business assessment opportunities.



Meeting with Minister Commerce & Industry and Secretary Commerce

I met with the Minister Commerce & Industry Mr. Razzak Dawood, I also met with the Secretary Commerce Mr. Dagha. The agenda was related to Auto Indutsry and Pakistan Auto Show and the following some areas of discussion and decisions:

  • Gave briefing on my visit to Germany, and how MOC can assist in gathering a good International presence at the event.
  • They agreed to write letters and involve CCs in the relevant Countries to invite delegations from associations and try to attract Raw Material Providers, Machinery Makers, Technology Consultants and distributors of Auto Parts in their region as exhibitors.
  • MOC Pavilion at the Event with representatives providing detailed information through out the three days. Information, registration and complain cell.
  • Visits of Minister, secretary other policy makers related tk trade and investment will be present for meetings.
  • Requested them to add a banner on the official MOC website to PAPS 2019 website Your support is requested to make this a roaring success. Mashood Khan
